God of War: Ragnarok

If there’s an award for most anticipated game, then God of War: Ragnarok would definitely take it. This sequel to 2018’s God of War – which revitalised the long-running series – will see the action pick up three years after the previous game, delving deep into Norse mythology. Now accompanied by a more grown up Atreus, this looks set to be a stunning experience filled with brutal combat and beautiful vistas. Speaking of departures, Starfield has two features. First it’s a thematic departure for Bethesda Game Studios, marking the first non-fallout, non-Elder Scrolls game they’ve worked on for a while. That in itself is quite exciting. The second is more literal, as it will lead us to the stars as we explore a new sci-fi universe. In fact its designer – the famed Todd Howard of Bethesda – has described it as “like Skyrim in space”. Good.
