Now you can pay with WhatsApp, with more features (is it usable? )
Now you will also be able to pay through instant messaging platform WhatsApp. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has approved WhatsApp to launch a UPI-based payment system.
The instant messaging platform has been testing the payment method for two years, but the case was pending with confidentiality.
There was constant discussion with Facebook to launch the Government of India on WhatsApp. However, it has now been approved. A press release was released on Thursday by the National Payments Corporation of India. It added that Go Live has been approved for the WhatsApp payment system.
Phase wise permission has been given to make the payment model of WhatsApp live. That is, it will be made to live in many different phases. Initially, the company was allowed to have a 20 million UPI user base, but would later expand to a hierarchical fiefdom.

- Step 1: For Android devices, first open WhatsApp and click on the three dots that appear on the top right side of the messenger app. For iOS, click on the ‘Settings‘ option at the bottom right corner.
- Step 2: Select the ‘Payment’ option. Then select ‘Add payment method‘.
- Step 3: You will get the list of banks; Select the bank from which you want to make the payment. Also, if you have two bank accounts in one bank, select the bank account with which you want to make the payment.

Paytm will get a tough competition from WhatsApp Payment
Explain that with the introduction of this service, Paytm, Google Pay and Phone Pay will get stiff competition in the digital payment market.
Currently, more than 45 third-party apps are offering UPI-based payment services, including Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Flipkart and Phone Pay. Apart from these 140, Paytm Payments Bank, Airtel Payments Bank and Axis Bank also offer these services.
Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma has been consistently opposing WhatsApp. They say that the service is not safe for the user and there is a risk of fraud. India is the largest market for WhatsApp, India has more than 400 million active users.
